Oxfam’s annual campaign, Second hand September encourages people to shop second hand throughout the month to take a stand against fast fashion and its environmental impact.
Fashion has become one of the most polluting industries on the planet, from mass-production, transportation and waste, with millions of clothes ending up in landfill every year. By recirculating our clothes we can reduce demand and reduce our impact on the planet.🌍
How to get involved:
- Shop secondhand at your local charity shop
- Donate your unwanted items after a good wardrobe clear out
- Explore partnerships with organisations that take donated clothes and provide shop vouchers in return
